FAQ
Not sure if you need a web copywriter? Wondering how a freelance copywriter works? Looking for a web copywriter to create profitable copy for your business? I can help you! Here are some frequently asked questions...
How can I hire you?
Click here and fill out the client brief. I will contact you via your preferred method for a consultation, at no obligation.
Are you a qualified copywriter?
I am currently enriching my copywriting skills with AWAI, the leading expert in copywriting career training. Additionally, I have years of experience as a freelance writer and ghostwriter to business owners and Internet marketers across the globe.
How do I know if you are a good fit for my project?
After you submit your client brief, I will take a look at the information you provide. An initial, no-expense consultation will be conducted to discuss the details of your project and my estimate. If I don't feel that I can provide you with strong copy, I won't waste your time. If I believe I can produce the kind of copy you need, we'll discuss payment terms and get started right away.
Why will it take you 2 weeks or more to write my copy?
Like Moma says, "Good things take time." The more time I can devote to your project, the better the copy will be. Research, note-taking, and studying are just a few factors that go into writing great copy. Rush jobs are possible, depending on my current work load.
Who decides your deadline?
We both do, as a team. You submit your timeline to me and we will create a reasonable deadline together, based on your needs and my work load. Rest assured, I take my deadlines very seriously. If I cannot meet the deadline we've agreed upon, an extension will be submitted in advance (although I haven't had to do this to date).
What if I'm not happy with the final copy?
If you aren't happy, neither am I. Therefore, I will do up to two rewrites free of charge, within 30 days of project completion. I want you to be 100% happy with the final copy.
What if I need a rewrite of my copy after 30 days?
Additional rewrites, or rewrites requested after 30 days of project completion will incur an additional fee.
What information do you need before you can start my project?
I need as much information as you can provide me including, but not limited to:
- Brochures
- Articles
- Research material
- Speeches
- Interview transcripts
- Newsletters
- Annual reports
- Current & past direct mail packages
- Reports
- Any other relevant material
It is as equally important that you share with me your goals and vision for the project.
What are your payment terms?
If you are an established client, I request a deposit of half the total in advance before I begin working on your project. The remainder can be split into two payments, or can be paid upon project completion. Your invoice must be paid in full before you will receive your project.
If you are a new client, I require a deposit of 3/4 of the total in advance, with the remaining 1/4 payable upon project completion. Your invoice must be paid in full before you will receive your project.
Do you offer a guarantee on expected results of the copy?
There are many varying factors in marketing. As such, I do not make any guarantees or promise on results from the copy I write. My main goal is to create copy that reflects the message you want to convey to your target audience. The results you encounter are beyond my control.
I notice you include samples on your website. What if I'm not comfortable with you sharing samples of the copy you write for me?
I hold my clients' confidentiality in highest esteem. If you don't want me to include samples of your project on my website, I understand. Many of my client prefer their projects remain confidential. If you agree to allow me to use your project as a sample, I will provide you with an agreement form prior to displaying your project on my website. I appreciate all clients who allow me to display their samples on my website, but understand those who wish to keep their project confidential.
What if I hire you for a project, then decide to go with another copywriter instead? Can I expect a refund?
A kill fee of up to 50% may be applied to all cancelled projects, regardless.
Are there any other stipulations I should know about?
I proofread and edit the final copy before I submit it to you. However, you are responsible for the final proof. I will not be held responsible for errors incurred beyond final submission and acceptance. Furthermore, I am not liable or responsible for any legal issues. It is your responsibility to ensure your copy is reviewed for legal issues prior to use and error-free.
“If you're looking for someone who takes your business as seriously as you do, hire Hope to help with all your writing needs. Yes, she's professional and turns out excellent copy. But just as important, she does what she says she'll do, meets every deadline and is a joy to work with. Choose Hope and you're choosing the best.”
